Jo’s Cards

January 1, 2010

Jo and I have been friends for so long, I wouldn’t know where this collection begins but I know that this was one of the first cards I made.

A few people have received this card because I was loving raspberry jam.

Cut out of a painting to the size of a postcard, so it is actually oil paint on canvas, put a stamp on it and the post office delivers it

I loved having a model at Studio School

Gilbert, the well-loved golden

The night sky at Douthat

Jo had cut herself. I think she needed stiches

Jo and I saw something that looked like this at Kew Gardens

Jo gave me this bowl from the craft fair in Matthews. It is for holding precious things

We removed all of the bricks from the existing patio, stacked them, and then they were used in a new patio design. Coming from the city, this seemed like fun but it was a lot of work.

Jason told me about reduction wood cut and I used that technique for Valentine’s Day

Pamela’s Cards

January 1, 2009

With the postcard collection of friends, I am not always sure of the order in which they were sent, so they are presented randomly

Pamela took care of Theo and left beautiful tulips, too

  • Over the years, I have made postcards and sent them to you as a love letter, a practice for my studio work, or a representation of a shared experience. We have talked about gathering them together for a exhibition. Now we are having a show.
